Stowing the ski pylon when not in use

Boat is a 2009 242. I'm looking to see what others have done to stow the sky pylon when not in use. In my previous 282, there was a fitting under the port side aft seat that the pylon would lock into (it appeared to be made of starboard or a similar material). My 242 doesn't have such a means to stow it and otherwise will roll around in the locker or under the port side seat.

Has anyone fabricated a means to secure the pylon, and if so, what did you use for it? I'm leaning towards using a router on a block of coosa or starboard, but curious what other ideas are out there. TIA.

Find a friend that 3D prints to design and fabricate something for you.

You could try looking on ebay or FM Marketplace for the board that goes in the seat, that your last boat has. I know what you're describing, and I thought all 232 / 242 boats had those boards that fit into the mesh sling, on the port side of the engine bay.

What's the diameter? I suspect one could find some marine-friendly clamps that fit the pylon shaft for not too much money. I'm thinking this kind of thing:
