Hey everyone
I searched the forum but came up empty. I have an 07 263 and raised the hatch yesterday to find the struts leaking hydraulic fluid. It’s not much but wondered if anyone had experience with replacing or if there is a seal kit for them. Thanks so much for any help
Mike

I obviously got it open and know the motor is fine. I checked the fittings on the hydraulic lines and they were tight. It did sit for the last 6 months. I don’t if it had to maybe purge itself…?

I've heard of people replacing struts, but not rebuilding them (which doesn't mean it can't be done). Maybe some others with similar boats can chime in?

Mine never leaked Mike , but a common cause of those leaking his filling the reservoir while the hatch is up and the struts are extended. You need to make sure the hatch has the prop rod installed to hold it open and then lower the struts to their lowest position. Then you add the hydraulic fluid to the correct level. Otherwise fluid will blow out the strut holes because of overfilling.

Aslan thanks so much for the info. It was a little low on fluid and it did come out the little pin hole. I’ll start looking for replacements just in case. Thanks again. I love all the support and info on this site.
