VP Dynamic Positioning System

The used 2022 R30 I’m thinking of buying is not equipped with VP Dynamic Positioning System. Is it possible to retro install DPS? If its possible is it feasible cost and fit and finishwise? The boat has VP twin 380’s, joystick, and Glass Cockpit 8612. Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has attempted this. Thanks.

I don't know for sure if it can be retrofitted, but the assisted docking system that works with DPS looks pretty slick. It looks like the ability to retrofit may depend having EVC 2.0 rather than an earlier version, and electronic rather than hydraulic steering. Hopefully someone who's worked with these can chime in.

Not as familiar on the retrofit but I would think a call to Neodesha might help answer your question. It couldn't hurt depending on how inclined you are to make this work. Keep us posted.
