With all the speed talk bouncin' around the forum, thought I might throw up a vid showing the top speed of the fastest vehicles in the world as of 2017.
(#1 is still my all time fave.

The fastest truck - the iron knight from Volvo, from a standing start, the Iron Knight set a (pending) FIA record by clearing 1000 metres in 21.29 seconds, at a top speed of 171mph (276kph), averaging over 100mph for that distance. 9. Powerboat - Mystic C5000-R. The C5000-R has set the standard for extreme performance boating. Mystic’s racing heritage is built into every hull which has run in excess of 240 mph (338 kph) and consistently out performed all of the competition. 2. The fastest train in the world - the L0 series high-speed maglev train, introduced in 2013 by the Central Japan Railway Company has broken two world records within 5 days. On 16 April 2015 it reached a maximum speed of 590 km/h (367 mph) on the 42.8 km (26.6 mi) long Yamanashi Test Track near Mount Fuji. 1. The fastest plane - Lockheed sr 71 Blackbird, speed over a straight course (15-25km)- 2,193.167 mph. SR-71 a world absolute and world class speed record over a 15/25 Kilometer Straight Course - 2,193.167 mph, SR-71 flown by capt. Eldon W. Joersz, pilot and major George T. Morgan.
