Hi all,
I bought a 1994 Cobalt 220 with 292 hours on the engine and boat. I will post pictures after I get it on the water this weekend. The one thing I know I need is that the ice cooler top is weak and needs to be rebuilt, replaced or? Emailed the Cobalt dealer and no luck due to age of boat.
Thanks everyone,
Art

Hi,
Its the top of the cooler lid that needs repair. I was told by previous owner it was a bit soft and not to step on it. I think it is wood covered with carpet. I will know more this weekend as the shakeout drives begin.
Thanks,
Art

Some pics of the boat. Shakeout drive. Shifter is hard to get into F-N-R and hard to fine tune. Engine temp was around 170 decrees. Oil pressure was fine. Forgot the pic of ice cooler in floor top. Trim indicator and trim did not seem to work. On the lake for 5 hours. Did not go over 25 with Bimini top up. Steering was fine. Lake temp was 76.5 degrees.

"Shifter is hard to get into F-N-R and hard to fine tune."
Take that issue seriously.
It could be minor -- a simple adjustment.
Or it could be major -- e.g., a frayed cable. If the cable snaps while on the water, you're stranded.

Kate,
Thanks. I plan to get it looked at before the next outing.
