Hi all
Having a little trouble with my gauges. I've had an alarm going off with no explanation of what's wrong (ie low Drive oil, low antifreeze, overheating ect ect) . Checked all fluids all we're OK. I took it to the Marina, and they hooked it to the computer. It showed a faulty sensor code. Instructed to unplug each sensor for 30 seconds and plug it back in. So, the mechanic did the ones he could reach then he updated the software and the code disappeared. As I was driving back to camp the alarm went off again. I also noticed the trim gauge was out of calibration, so I tried to calibrate it with no success. The speedometer also showed 25 mph when I was idling away from the dock both digital and analog readings.
Specs
2014 R5 with Mercury 8.2 mag
Cobalt instrumentation system.
Except for the speedometer and tachometer all displays our digital that you have to scroll through. See picture of speedometer (sorry I took that picture with the boat off)
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Hey Jimmyr5, sounds like you're dealing with some frustrating gauge issues on your boat. First off, kudos for checking all the fluids and getting that sensor code sorted out with the mechanic. Since the alarm keeps going off and the trim gauge and speedometer are acting wonky, it might be a good idea to double-check the connections for all the sensors and gauges, making sure everything is snug and secure. If that doesn't do the trick, it could be worth having a more thorough diagnostic check to pinpoint the root cause of the problem. Sometimes those electronic gremlins can be a real pain, but hang in there and keep troubleshooting – you'll get it sorted out eventually. Good luck, man!

Sorry the pic didn’t load, but anyway this is the gauge i was referring to the tach is pretty much the same. All the rest of the info is digital, and you have to scroll through for different info. I can’t find any info on these gauges, if anyone knows anything about them it would be greatly appreciated

b: What is the purpose of that? It's not advertising or phishing via a link. Some sort of weird beta testing?

I've noticed a lot new users posting pretty meaningless posts over on clubsearay.com - you can tell from the dialog it's a "generated" post. Not sure what the motive is here, but on clubsearay the bots are actually posting advertising and links to who knows what. It's annoying because you see new posts to a thread only to find out it's meaningless jabber. All of bumberbill's post say a whole lot about nothing!

Just creates a bunch of noise (at least for now - who knows what it evolves into) for those here who are genuinely interested in exchanging info and helping others with their boats.
