Hey All,

I’ve noticed this a few times I’ve used the boat…I know these new VP’s have that silent shift system where it’s supposed to go into gear silky soft.

95% of the time that is the case but there have been a few times recently pulling into the dock when I put the boat in reverse to stop momentum I get a little clunk when going into gear. Again, this doesn’t happen all the time but sometimes. So far happen after engine has been warm after taking the kids tubbing.

Assuming this can be normal even with this silent shift system? Anything to worry about? This doesn’t seem to happen in forward.

I would have your dealer take a look. It should be silent going into forward or reverse 100% of the time

Totally agree with you! I did a check on the gear oil dip stick and it was NOT registering so much be low. The boat was serviced at the dealer in May before the season and the gear oil got changed as part of that service. Per the dealers feedback, I'm going to top off the gear oil the next time I'm at the boat and see if that makes a difference...The boat is a few hours away from the dealership currently.

Hoping that resolves it. Before I did the check of gear oil, the dealer told me they thought it might just need an adjustment and was fine to use.

But any input appreciated.
