Hi All
I have a 2014 R7 and my tach and speedometer is losing power and not reading anything, also my Captains Call shuts off. Everything else is okay lights, stereo, blower etc. Any ideas? Sounds like possible a ground but.....

I had the same problem - turned out to be a bad Blue Sea battery switch.

That is helpful, since the Captains Call was installed aftermarket I bet it is tied into the same power block as the gauges since it goes off when the gauges do.

Thanks Waterhog, I hope that is your issue - it is an easy fix. My battery switch was broken inside and was causing an intermittent grounding issue that would cause my gauges and strereo to temporarily lose power when hitting any kind of rough water

It wouldn’t be a terrible idea to remove your battery switch and tighten the connections in back. I found a couple of loose connections on my battery switch a couple of years ago. It was the first time that I had checked them in 15 years of ownership.
