Freshly minted R7 owners

Last year we moved across the country to a home overlooking the Potomac, and we have our own slip with lift on the community dock. It took us some time to whittle down the other new-home projects, but filling that slip finally percolated to the top of the list. Today we took a trip to “Boatober Fest” to have a look around and fate had an eye on us. An R7 that I had perused online but wasn’t expecting to see was being shown. The look on my wife’s face during the sea trial sealed it. I think we got a pretty decent bargain, too.
She’s an 2019 equipped with the Volvo 380, folding arch, premium sound, mood leds, and a couple other nice to haves …. rolled 60 hours on the engine while we were out! Has been in a boatel her entire life, so the vinyl is still factory fresh. We’ll take delivery as soon as the new covers and trailer we negotiated into the deal are ready. Sorry for the crummy pictures, but the marina was stuffed full for the event.
We’re very excited to be Cobalt owners.

Congratulations. We had an R7 and they are great boats! Love the classic white with the boot stripe!

Very nice - classic white with a dark bootstripe - just can't go wrong there.

Erie, huh? I grew up in Girard and graduated from Prep. A significant chunk of my youth was spent out on the peninsula…..

Welcome aboard. Every year when we open the boat for the first time, that new boat smell gets a little fainter, but it's still there on our 2019.
Great find and congratulations.

Now you're talkin' my language!
Yes, our boating was on Presque Isle Bay and of course the lake with an occasional 26 mile crossing to the sandy beach of long point in Canada. Memories I would not trade for the world.
Looking forward to seeing some more of your pics as you make them Zuul.
