Lower unit trim adjustment - how to
Short of calling my mechanic, my problem is trying to adjust the lower unit trim in the up position. After having some work done on the gimbal housing, the outdrive hits the stern of the boat, cracking the shift shaft cover at TDC. I find lots of advice on adjusting the trim gauge or replacing. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of info on how to adjust the trim either in the full down position or in the full up position. I’ve downloaded the manual but it’s very fuzzy. Anyone?

My bad. 1998 Cobalt 232 7.4gi. Brand new gimbal housing, tilt pumps, lines, replaced yoke and U-joints.
