I've owned a 1998 23ls with 7.4 and Volvo out-drive since 2002, which now has about 1,100 hrs., replaced gimbal bearing and power steering pump 2 years ago, steered fine last year, but this year it's hard to steer. Any advice on what the problems might be, (actuator)?

I'm gonna bet it's your steering cable that needs to be replaced.

Yup. That’s probably it. We just replaced ours and it will make a world of difference.

…and great to hear from ya’ YT! How’s the wedding biz?

Hey A7! We had to put everything on hold, so we've not finished it yet. Kind of a long story...
I hope you and your family are all good. Most of those kids must be grown by now!

Ahh, roger that YT.
..and thanks for asking.

Our youngest graduated summa cum laude last weekend from College with a Computer Science-Artificial Intelligence degree. She accepted a job with a local robotics company.
Our oldest graduated cum laude with an MBA last weekend at the same college as well. He's a budget analyst at Dick's Sporting goods headquarters here in Pit.
They both walked across the stage together. So proud of them!

At least I know now they'll be productive members of society with a grounded world view loving righteousness. ...(and I don't have to worry about them living as hobos under a bridge. :))

How's the 262 runnin''? Replace your steering cable yet?
