I've owned Cobalt boats previously and traded my 2013 Cobalt 24SD for a 2021 Regal 28 Express. My wife did not enjoy staying on board overnight.
So it's back to a Cobalt bowrider!

Welcome to our Cobalt forum. Congratulations on your new R6.
Before buying our current boat, I went to Lake Allatoona to look at a used Regal.
Looked like a nice lake.
Visited some sites for "Ozark".

Nice, I recognized some of the boats filmed in the Netflix series. There was a yellow pontoon with blue flames that stood out. It was moored in our marina. The restaurant (Blue Cat Lodge) is a great place to eat on Lake Allatoona.

While finishing up a work assignment in the UAE, I was bored and followed Krob1114's advice in "It's Spring and I'm Bored". I went through this whole website...well almost. I ran across " Cobalt Malibu Boat Operation " started by AsLan7, the first person to welcome me (and everyone else that has joined CC) to the site. The post has 13 pages of everything you need to know about CC and Cobalt. Of course, it includes some things I really didn't need to know! But, there are some great stories, pictures and links to some interesting articles. (INC.com and Biz journal.com)
Looking forward to getting back to the USA, the R6, and completing a couple of projects. I plan on having the Taco Marine table installed by Cinco de Mayo... just another story I enjoyed on CC.

Hey that’s great to hear Sam A. Certainly some interesting reading in that thread.
Some good pics too.

Looking forward to seeing another R6 on Lake Allatoona. As of today the lake is only 2 ft below full pool so boating season is just about here!

Made it back safely to the USA. Lake Allatoona is at full pool and I completed some modifications. I installed a cockpit table and battery charger.
I purchased the Bracket, Post and Table Mount from Taco Marine. The angle of the bracket and post is perfect. I had to add shims when I did the same modification to my Cobalt 24SD. I used 1/4 -20 stainless 2.5 inch bolts with a backing plate for the install. I bought the table a couple of years ago and used it on the Regal 28. The table folds in half also, to occupy less space.

I installed a battery charger that supplies 3 batteries. I installed a third battery as a backup and the charger maintains the installed spare. If I have any battery issues I'll always have a fully charged spare. I could also remove it and loan it to a friend, if needed. The Minn Kota hull adapter is great. It turned out to be a very clean install.

Does the mirror really help?

I like having a mirror and this mirror folds down out of the way so that I can put the boat cover on with no issues.I have mounted mirrors on other boats from the arch, but they're more expensive and hard to locate properly. I had a windshield mounted mirror on my first Cobalt, bit it damaged the stainless steel frame. I saw this mirror on the CC forum and bought it. It clamps nicely to the frame with no damage.
