Garmin 7607 Question

I am a new owner of a 2020 Cobalt R5 Surf with the Glass Cockpit - Garmin 7607. I had to go through a Lake Tahoe boat inspection to put it on the lake. One of the inspections was running hot water through the engine - I had to run the engine obviously to do this. I was trying to find the gauge screen and eventually did find it. When I fired up the engine the gauges did not read anything - no oil pressure, temperature, RPM's etc. It showed all of the gauges but no live engine data was being displayed. I am an admitted newbie - was I on the wrong screen? Does the engine data get displayed on another screen or do I have a problem that needs to be resolved. Has anyone run into this before? Please help me as I would like to launch my boat this weekend.
John

Not much help, and it's been a while, but I would make sure you start from the main screen and select one of the factory set "built in" gauges, and/or if the boat is new to you restore to factory settings. In theory you could be trying to view "engine 2" data if someone messed with it. If you can run it at your house maybe try it again to be sure. I can't remember if you can see engine temp when it's not running.

I am having the exact same issue on my 2020 25SC. The farming chart plotters are not receiving information from the motor ECM. Did you find a solution?

Try resetting your gauges. Go to the gauge in question, remove data and then re-enter the data. If that does not work you may want to see that the engines ECM gateway is seen by the Garmin. Go to Communication, NMEA2000, Device List. This should show every device connected on the bus.
