Cooler

I'm thinking about mounting a cooler on my swim platform, anyone do this and have any advice?
I've always sat cooler on floor in boat but it takes up room and I worry about messing up upholstery when loading cooler.
Thinking the hold down brackets may be an issue with the thickness of swim platform.

I wouldn't drill holes in your platform. Just me.

We just move the cooler from inside the boat to the swim platform once we reach our destination. The Yeti and others with rubber feet really stay in place well.

Doubt that Cobalt designed the anchors for the swim platform with the
thought in mind that there would be a full ice-chest strapped to the
platform. Stresses may be too much, with the boat bouncing across
the waves... no way to know for sure, but I think I'd opt for putting
the ice chest out there after a stop.

I agree not drilling platform, pretty sure it's not designed for that, just trying to be lazy loading cooler

Does your boat not have a built in cooler? We buy an extra bag of ice, leave our cooler on the dock (that's why we don't have a Yeti, they might grow legs), then only load the drinks and top with extra bag of ice.
If no built in cooler, maybe get a soft sided cooler that will fit in one compartment?
Staying hydrated very important on the water! LOL

He has a 220. So I'm assuming it's much easier to just get a drink off the platform vs always getting out of the water and going into the boat. We get lazy in our old age you know

I think the rtic cooler we use is a 54qt. gets pretty heavy for my wife to load
I just see a few boats carrying cooler on platform and wondered if any of you guys did that.
Not a fan of the built in coolers

I would always be paranoid of losing it. How do the other boats attach them?

We use our on board cooler for towels. We Bring on board a soft sided and it fits perfectly under the frt bow filler cushion. We don't drink alcohol on the boat so no need for ice bags. So we are light weights.

Clean the cobwebs out of those coolers bbp we will be using them this summer at TRL. I'll buy the ice.
