Gents,
I was doing. post wash walk around and noticed a SS rub rail join was out of alignment. Upon further inspection, I realized every rub rail screw needed tightening - most needing about 1/4 to 1/2 a turn. Fortunately, none were stripped or needed additional attention. I have also noticed some window hardware has worked its way loose during the boats 5 year and 260 hour life. It is worth noting I trailer my boat, so it gets lots of vibration than a boat left on a lift. So, check your fasteners before you loose a screw.

When we took possession of our 263, that is one of the first things we did. Easy to do and certainly worth it.

Don't forget your trailer bunk lag bolts. Your windshield screws under the trim, your cleat nuts, your seat hinges.

Towing used to loosen rub rail screws on my Donzi.. I balanced the wheels.. used locktight and still required periodic tightening..

Certain harmonic added with rough water I told myself.. no biggie!

I have to laugh at how like minded so many of us are. Love it! Only time I am more particular than checking my boat is when pre-flighting a plane.

Oops... just seeing your post.
I rent a '15 Cirrus SR-20. After taking 9 months off from flying, I'll be back in the left seat tomorrow with my instructor. I'm a high time student pilot. This time last year I was prepping for my solo X country when my son had an issue at school that required my full attention. I now have a custody attorney, guardian ad litem, co-parent counselor, custody evaluator and three counselors either in place or immediately available to help me and my son overcome manipulation from my ex. Long story, but let's just say I'm looking forward to flying again. I really like the Bristell LSA - dealer up in your neck of the woods.

Glad you are getting the issues handled. It's not easy. But on topic I forgot to mention the screws to the base of the seats to the floor and the seat hardware to the seat cushion. Hopefully Aslan 7 can get back to you by the end of the month. He's out protecting us.

Sorry for the late reply... I'm still dealing with issues surrounding my son. To support my son with more custody, I now have 1.) guardian ad litem, 2.) custody evaluator, 3.) co-parent counselor, 4.) father/son counselor, 5.) son in counseling, and 6.) me in counseling. The only person not in counseling is my ex. Hmmm.
I fly out of Chesterfield, with Charlottesville being my primary destination. I will triangulate with Petersburg, but I'm just not there yet. I set up a day to fly in January but had to back out due to a new issue with my son/school. On the up side, I have my health, wealth and am dating a nice lady that happens to be a pediatrician. She has been very helpful. Learning in a Cirrus is almost like cheating... I normally fly a '`15 SR20, but did take a SR22 out and really enjoyed the climb rate.

Yes....family takes priority. Flying will always be there. Family grows up fast.

With that being said, Flying is a great way to enjoy God’s grand creation. Have fun.
