Some pics from this past weekend. Put the boat in the water Friday, Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday we took the boat to the Parker strip and saw some friends who have a house on the river.

The sunset shot is from a house across the street from ours that someone is building. Great lake view.

First time towing the boat long distance (like 80 miles r/t) and it did pretty good. Even though it has the 6.2 engine, it does not pull as well as our F-250 with the diesel but still OK. You can feel the boat is back there compared to the 3/4 ton truck.

Beautiful boat, beautiful day, great pics! It's hard to beat a 3/4 ton diesel pickup for towing. I'm sure your 6.2 does a better job than my 5.3, which I find to be perfectly adequate. Yes, I miss my 2003 Ford F250 with the 7.3L diesel...oh well.
Very picturesque scenery!

Lake is getting sleepy. Fine by us. Flat water and prime docking at the Weirs for ice cream and arcade action for the kids.

Still some decent days left out on Lake Washington. Beautiful evening. Highlight was Salmon near the north end of the lake jumping like crazy! 8 y.o. Thought that was amazing

Boat really looks great, that navy and yellow looks sharp!

I'm a lake guy, but boating out of San Diego must be something. Here on a brief work trip

That marina photo is the perfect example of “there’s always someone with a bigger boat.”

After several weeks of rain ruining boating, the weather gods have blessed us with a spectacular Columbus Day weekend. Great sunset and calm seas in the Santa Rosa Sound tonight. Tourist traffic slowing down a bit, so able to breath easier with out rental pontoons barreling in to park for dinner.

True, but here's the thing......

After our company dinner I decided to take a stroll on the waterfront before bed to check out the marina up close. Those photos were taken from my hotel room.

The big 250 foot boat called LunaSea has an interesting and impressive ownership story. The current owner is a 53 year old guy who is a software engineer for a video game company and he wrote some parents for that company that revolutionized online game play. He's now worth $500 million

....back to my evening stroll. His boat and the other big ones in the marina are all surrounded by razor wire fencing. You don't see it from a distance. That just seems so weird and segregated from the common man like me. Not sure I'd ever want something worth so much that it would require that kinda security to protect.

Not that I ever will have to worry about that though.😆

Just made me appreciate the more simple and modest life I lead.

Nothing better than just getting in your boat and going. If I owned that thing I’d want to drive it myself, not pay a captain and crew to do it.

Guess I better start working on my captains license and also playing the lottery more diligently…
