Hey guys
Have a volt issue, or some sort of electrical issue going on with my 2016 R7. Have 2 brand new batteries, the ones that Cobalt recommends the interstate 24M-XHD.
When starting the boat up there’s no lag etc, but when you try and turn on the radio or GPS at idle, you can tell they aren’t getting enough juice. The back light on the gauges start flickering and eventually the radio head unit will flash “Low Voltage” and completely shut off. This is right after I’m removing the plug for the trickle charger BTW. When we are underway, RPMS above 2k, everything works great no issues. As soon as you come back down to idle or no wake, same issue occurs.
I do have a battery switch, I have tried regular on, which it stays in most of the time, and both with same results. When the boat is running we are showing between 13.8-14 volts.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: 2016 R7 volt issues
I’m no expert but it sounds like a ground problem. Or poor continuity? Maybe try Loosening the electrical connections, move them around and retighten. Do this one at a time and retest for proper function.
