Ordered a new CS23 on January 4th. Build date was 5/18. Then it was pushed to 6/8, now they called me and said it was mid-July….which probably means late August completion. I get that some things can’t be controlled but it’s sure frustrating that the seem to have no idea on timing. I’m frustrated.

What is the hold up? I notice the local Cobalt dealer by me has one boat.

Sorry to hear about your order woes. Like bbp mentioned you’re not alone. The entire system is strained.

Stay strong..It will get here. Everyone who ordered a boat is waiting. The new normal. I ordered end of November. Start date of 2/9. Got pushed a little. Just got it today!

My dealer said prices were going up in 22 about 10%. Probably worth the wait all said. Neighbor of mine said he stopped at a dealership last week. Not my dealership and but said they wanted between 5-10% over msrp for any boat they sold or ordered. Only had a couple new boats left. These guys are one of the biggest dealerships on the east coast.

For comparison we ordered ours a week or so after labor day and our original completion date was 5/17. That was as soon as our dealer could get it thru. We received it last Friday. With the amount of boat sales these last couple years I really dont know how your dealer could have gotten a May build date with an order placed in Jan, they may have said they you could have a May delivery just to get an order (I know my competition does this to us at work) and now that there are more actual delays it has compounded. It seems everyone else that responds in regards to late boats are saying about a month which ours was was one week over.

P.S. We only have 300hp and it is waaayyy more powerful than our 97 220 with 310hp 454 I cant imagine what 350hp would be like. You may need to tether the family in the boat.

Thanks for the comments Dustin. We supposedly got into an already existing order slot that we then customized, but who knows. It is what it is. I’ll obviously wait it out.
