My wife and I are proud owners of a 2018 R5 and we have discovered what real boats are. This is our 2nd boat purchase and hopefully our last. We traded in our wait for it.....Bayliner 180 bowrider with 90hp mercury o/b and i don't know how we got along. Its a patriotic boat(red white and blue).
Elusive and hard to find on the used market and after a 5 month search we drove from Va. to Ga. dropped off the Bayliner and came home with the Cobalt, just in time for us to spend a week on the lake with it for our vacation.

LOL awesome. what vintage was the liner? I remember a long time ago looking at a couple 180s with outboards but they were off brand so I stayed away. What engine powers your R5?

Love the colors but Old Glory is missing. Great choice on the R5.
I never knock Bayliner as it's a cheap way to discover if boating is in your blood.
One day we were at the marina, it was raining. I walked by a older, dirty, small Bayliner in a covered rental slip.
There were people sitting in it drinking. I said hi. They said life was good as they were on the water drinking.
Changed my thinking.

Thanks all. My Bayliner was a good faithfull nice looking bow rider and will never knock it because it never let me down. After being in our R5 I will never be able to go back. This boat is amazing, water that would beat us to death and make us slow down, I dont even feel the chop. Where we had a hard time sitting comfortably this R5 is so plush its hard to not be comfortable.

Love it. Looks pretty sporty. Very unique for sure. You won’t be flying under the radar.
