Boat Listing to Starboard at rest

Hi All,
I just launched my new to me ‘99 Cobalt 190. I noticed it is listing towards starboard at rest at the dock. I don’t see any appreciable water anywhere. It did recently get rained on for quite some time with the cover OFF.
I took it for a quick spin obviously everything ran just fine. I don’t think this is a weight balance issue as the boat is small and there’s not much equipment on board. I believe the gas tank and the battery are starboard side.
Is there any chance water is collecting in the hull? What should my level of concern be with this?
Thanks!

It can but I dought it. If the battery is on that side and other stuff that's your reason. Just. Plus on that boat everyone sits on the port side so it will help balance out.

Thanks BB. I’m hoping it’s not something of major concern. When we bought it we ran in on muffs to check the engine and there’s no discernible damage or issues with the hull. If it worsens I’ll have someone take a look. Maybe I’ll get a second battery and put it on the other side lol. Good point about the seating.

Yes ours has a very slight list to the port side while sitting in the water with the potable water tank & dual batteries on that side.

I had a big sub box with a 15 inch sub in it in the frt bow storage. I could feel the weight of it while driving. Yep took that thing out pretty fast.

Agreed. We need 1-2 adults on the port side to even it out which is a lot of weight.

Yea I asked 2 core members that owned a 190 and they say that is not normal at all. Maybe someone added lead to the bow? Just throwing stuff out there.

Here’s ours with a very slight port list due to dual batteries and 10 gallon potable fresh water shower and sink tank on that side. (Roughly 200 pounds)

Yeah the battery and gas tank are on that side but that seems like something that should be taken into account at mfg, or else all boats would list towards the tank side.... whatever it is will have a more pronounced effect bc it’s a smaller boat. I’ll prob have the marina take a look at it. Runs fine though and evens out at plane but still.

I’ll prob have my marina take a look at it. It’s just slightly more than I’m comfortable with. Boat ran fine and evens out at plane. I checked all the storage areas And I didn’t see anything at all really. I asked the seller about it just to see if there was any history and she said it’s always seemed to do this and it was always written off as a weight distribution issues batteries etc.

Did you spend the weekend at Bernie's?
Maybe there's something down there you don't want to find?
