Looking for Ritchie Compass 1998 Cobalt 232

Was hoping someone out there may have a compass module. Ritchie does not have parts or repair them anymore. There is a compass for sale on eBay for $500. A little bit out of my impulse item budget. Has anyone had the same problem? Has anyone bought an aftermarket bulkhead mount compass? Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
