Upgraded Dash Panels

Just got the lower portions of the dash panels installed on my 262 in wood grain. I ordered the gauge cluster and glove box pieces last year from Tecnografic and was so happy with them, I had them custom fab the ignition plate and starboard storage plate to match. In addition, they built the ignition plate so that the RF remote was recessed into the dash, which I am really happy with. Extremely pleased with how they turned out.

If any of you are considering this, Tecnografic is the way to go.

That looks great! Our 2003 model is looking a bit weathered, in good shape but not awesome. What's going in on the right side?

The right side is simply a cubbie hole for a phone, key's etc. I think there was an option for a GPS screen/depth finder from the factory or something similar, but most that I have seen just have this.

One of the members flush mounted a Simrad GPS on that right side panel, it came out looking pretty good.

Very nice. I also used Tecnografic and they lasered the Cobalt emblem on the panels also. I liked how it turned out.

Sorry for the ignorance, but is that just a cover? What is required to install, I need to do this?

Thank you

Wish I knew about these with my old Wellcraft. Spent many years with cracks in the dash.

What does something like this run?

They are replacement pieces, so you have to take the old panels out and replace. It's tedious/contortionist-type work at times, but was worth the effort.

Tough to say based on what you need. The gauge cluster panel and port glove box trim(not pictured) were easy as they produced these originally and had the specs on file. The lower panels were custom fabbed, so they were a little more and took a while longer. I had to remove the panels this winter and send them(along with the stereo remote) so they could make sure to get them right.

I'd suggest you reach out to Sam at Tecnografic and tell him what you've got. He was pretty easy to work with for quotes.

I will say this though: For what most anything costs to replace on a Cobalt that is more than 7 years out from the original build, I was pleasantly surprised at what it cost me to do this. :)

I have a Cobalt 262 and have the finish catalog from Technografic. Really like what you chose for dash, etc. Do you recall the name of it? Thanks

It looks a lot like Cobalt's stock wood grain option - I wonder if it's Blonde Zebra? Tecnografic would be able to tell you in a heartbeat.
