Your second love

Here is the second boat we owned.

1995 Fountain 24 Competition Series. A real screamer at the time with a ballast tank and consistent 80 mph runs with her stepped hull & 502MAG MPI. Like driving a ferrari on the water...fast out of the hole and great top end. Reggie fountain figured out he could squeak another two mph by running the chopper prop counterclockwise. Who knew.

She ran as fast as my wife's big hair. (ooooh, don't tell her I said that) :D I love you honey 8-)

That's funny right there.
My Donzi z20 was my second boat I ever owned and my first and second love I guess. Lol
Fuel injected 5.7 open exhaust and stepped hull. 63 mph and smooth as silk. Also drove like a Ferrari on rails.

Were those your ski gloves hanging there to dry in that middle picture BBP? I take it you did some skiing & / or wakeboarding behind her.

Crownline always had a sleek look.
I'm guessing 24 pitch prop in that middle pic?

No that's a stump puller prop. Revolution 4 17 pitch. It shot you out of the hole like a rocket and had great mid-range. Lost about 4mph. It ran 57 on a great cool day by myself. I had other props to get me to 61 & 63. But this prop was the all around best for that boat. It was huge. It could spin it great though. The only bad thing about that boat was a16 degree dead rise. She was a rough ride in rough water and a wet one. But it was great for water sports.

Wow. Prop looked like she had a lot more twist to her. Maybe pic is deceiving.
I remember the ReV 4's. Great props.

IIRC, we ran a 4 blade 27P chopper on the Fountain. A real screamer--literally...kids would scream from out of the hole to top end...man she was fast and fun.

Keep those pics coming. Great stuff!
