Junkyard Digs takes on a 1977 TH18 Cobalt (Pezzetti's boat)

Post by CobaltRick »

I'm not sure if anyone here watches Junkyard Digs on Youtube.. Its generally a group of one or more guys that tackle forgotten vehicles that have been sitting for decades untouched to see if they can get them running.. Well.. They acquired or were given a combo of a 1970's Dodge pickup (covered in Episode 1) and in episode 2 they tackle a 1977 Cobalt to see if they can get it running. They know next to nothing about boats and zilch about Cobalts. Unfortunately for them this particular cobalt is long overdue for the scrap yard -- it's in HORRID condition.

If you want to watch, the link is https://youtu.be/Oj4rMK_inGI for your amusement...

Enjoy!!

Thx CR

Although the way they recklessly bang parts makes me cringe....or how about using the water ski to pry off the rams. Reminds me of how some of my careless nephews would work on things. Ughhh.

Ok is cool it started. Revving that engine that high on old oil if it had oil in it with a ton of water would make me cringe and a cold engine. Give that engine credit she ran on old gas too. Lol

Agreed both of you! They were in total tear out mode with little regard for what they might do to the engine.. although I think at one point the carb was stuck and revving that high til they whacked it and got it to drop...
