Unlike the gauge panel, this just appears to be glued on. If I want to remove it, do I simply pull it off carefully? Or is there a trick that I am not seeing?

I find removing some decals it helps heating them with a blow dryer or a heat gun if you have one. With a heat gun keep the heat on low, the goal is to warm the glue just enough to help release.

Dustin, the heat gun tip worked great. Now I have to figure out what type of adhesive to use. Any ideas?

I had custom panels created because my current ones were cracking from age. The glove compartment panel that I removed with the heat gun was attached by some type of adhesive. I am trying to figure out what adhesive to use to attach this new custom piece.

I took off mine. Putty knife, heat and some patience. If any left over residue, denatured alcohol.

Just re read this.... I used a 2 part epoxy.. while it holds fine and didn't expand, I wouldn't recommend it. In a perfect world, find the thin 2-sided 3m tape.. not the thick foamy stuff.

If you do use an epoxy, keep in mind that it will run. However, denatured alcohol will take off any over run.

This is the stuff I used. Small bead, maybe even little drops. Hold it for a minute, then masking tape to let it cure... I did mine on the sandbar

Very nice. I like the look of yours. I ended up going with this 3M product. It seemed to work fine. I also included some below pictures on how it turned out after installation.

3M also makes a brush on trim glue that possibly might be easier to use in this app. I use that 3M spray glue to hold interior foam on and sometimes headliners. I like the 3M tape but its probably too thick for this.
