Boat Stall Customizing

We are expecting our new baby, a Cobalt R5, this spring. Always wanted a Cobalt…. finally going to have one! We will keep her on a lift in our covered boat stall in the Arkansas Ozarks. In advance of the arrival, we would like to customize our stall to better protect our boat from dock rash and bird droppings, and just generally dress it up. We would love to hear what other Cobalt owners have done to their boat stalls.
Thanks!

Congratulations on your new R5, and welcome from a fellow Arkansan. I like the way you think. I’ve recently moved into a new slip with a new lift, and I need to do a little work myself. Taylor Made makes some great stuff. A link to their website is below. Amazon, Home Depot, and West Marine all carry Taylor Made .... but none of them carry the full line. You can certainly over indulge with this stuff.

Thanks for the suggestions. Solar lights is a good idea. And, I knew Taylor Made sold fenders... didn't realize they had a whole line of dock and lighting products. So, thanks for the replies. Pest control is an issue I'd love solutions for. Birds (swallows mostly) love to perch on the cross bars and their droppings hit the boat. Spider spots seems to be a problem on the fiberglass and vinyl. And we have river otters that make quite a mess on the dock. I'm going to try bird spikes but just wondering if anyone has solved any of these problems?

Demon WP Insecticide is some great stuff. I flew with a buddy who has a covered boat slip and it solved all his bug and spider issues. He turned me onto it. I bought some to use on my house and on my boat/trailer while it sits. The stuff really works well. You could have it delivered to your doorstep by Saturday. Click
here.
I put a tablet in a spray bottle and fire away.

Boy is that nice.
(the beach protector on the Cobalt hull looks slightly off angle though).

We have used the Demon product and it worked well. I've found it simpler just to use the home defense spray that I go around the house with a few times a year. For us, the mooring cover works great, but needs cleaning in the spring, mostly pollen.
Our dock neighbor had kids leave some kind of food product behind the cushions on her pontoon. Otters destroyed the seats, but insurance covered.
Another trick, get a motion sensor, wire in a loud radio, have it come on whenever the motion sensor comes on, otters leave.
Good luck and welcome.

Demon! Got it. Thanks I'll get some ordered for spring. Love the boat house photos... doubt that our Army Corps of Engineers would though! They take a negative attitude to just about everything.
