Some of you new guys might not know that our own A7 is a pilot for a major airline, as well as he used to fly a tanker for the military before he retired.

So when I saw this clip, I naturally thought of him!

You called it BBP. ...Nashville was fun with quite a few bands playing in the bars. Currently in Phoenix enjoying the cool down of 89 degrees. . Amazing the orange color sky and ash while flying toward Cali with the wildfires blazing. Had to divert as Albuquerque center shut down and was evacuated for a fire alarm. They’re back up and running again. Be safe out there.

Had the pleasure of going on a quick hop on a tanker out of McConnell AFB in Wichita KS. Got to lay beside the dude during the approach of the planes needing fuel and the transfer. Was feed a sandwich and drink and then toured the operations room upon returning to base. Very cool day. Thanks A7 for your service and to all vets past and present. Something I wish I did back in the day and regret that I never did.

...and you got a rare opportunity to see an inflight aerial refueling. I’m still amazed even after doing it for 26 years. It’s quite an operation. Now if only filing our travel expense vouchers with the payroll department were as efficient. Ughh.

My uncle used to fly the KC-135. Then F4s in Vietnam and finally U2s for Lockheed before he retired.
