I believe it was 1999 through 2005. Does anyone know? I am looking for the last model year with all the options. Thanks!

Not sure why your interested in the last year of a boat. They didn't change much. Here's a low hour one with a BB that's what I would be looking at along with condition. You can email or call cobalt also for that exact info. John may know though.

I saw this ad...my friend was considering it. The reason I would look for the last Edition of a boat is because it is newer than the first edition. And, if well kept, with low hours, a sound choice. I am not a fan of aftermarket swim platforms on boats that did not originally have one. However I have a Cobalt 226, 1999 model....And I am considering this platform from swim platforms.com...which is $1,345 not including installation and stainless rub rail. I had one installed on my previous boat. FYI, the boat in the ad had some damage on the side...looked like gouges out of the gel coat...for $28.5k...I expect this particular Cobalt boat to be in perfect condition... regardless of whether it is 15 years old.

I believe 99-07. One of there longest runs on the same hull- I have an' 01. You could verify this from the cobalt website under support/download library and search the models.

Yea I wasn't saying this boat was priced right. It's way over priced. Just that I would be looking at a bb. Lol
Swim platforms makes a great platform. There is a factory one on ebay a guy is trying to sell. If you could get measurements it may work as well with a little effort.

Thanks, Big Block Power! "bb" means "big block" engine, right?

Correct. BB likes BB's.

I like the 220 vs the 226 just because of the walk through and balance seating in the boat. The 226 hull is much faster than the 220 but it's amazing how much less expensive the 226 is then the 220. It would be interesting to see the ride differences between them.

I like the 220 also, and will probably be replacing my aging 226 (1999) with a 10 year old 220, hopefully with the BB and Captain's Call exhaust option. As far as ride, I believe the 220 would be smoother on a chop since it is heavier. My 226 can get uncomfortable on plane late in the day at Canyon Lake, TX...w/a 2 to 3 foot chop.

I would agree the 220 rides better. Totally different hull then the 226. Not nearly as fast though. I'll take ride and comfort for a few mph.
Good luck on your search finding a bb and captains call on a 220 is not real easy. I want the same but the Volvo has a good bark to it already that's why I have not added it yet to it.

I'm with you...ride and comfort trumps top speed for me too...I'd be happy with a 220 with a small block and no captain's call...provided the boat were in great shape with low hours.
