My 1990 253 has been burping gas when I try to fill it. Fast, slow different angels same result. A friend told me to check the vent line and I took it off the connection and could here fluid inside it. He told me to put weed eater line down it to clear any clogs and and some compressed air. It moved the fluid into the gas tank and easy to fuel. It’s happened twice but this fix works

Hey dave. Welcome to the Cobaltchat forum. So glad you found us!
Thanks for the tip about the vent line. Thunder550 mentioned that tip as well for a 252. Good stuff.
Any pics?
Again welcome aboard mate!

Reply to a post using the quotes in the upper right ... (
" ).... and the full editor opens up. Click on the attachment tab and then "add files". Search for the pic on your phone or computer and select. Wait a second for it to upload and then submit.
The site software likes pics in landscape mode or screenshot pics. Others tend to show sideways or upside down. If so, I'll fix them.

I had the same issue - and poked at the silver nub on the side of the boat. It’s a miracle! Now the tank fills with no issues.
This sure is full of useful info you never knew you needed.
