2016 R5 Prop Vibration

I am experiencing significant vibration at 1K - 1,800K RPM in my new 2016 R5. First lake test was poor to miserable - the boat had pre-existing prop damage from the last demo day. Props were serviced and vibration was much better - but still not up to new boat standards IMHO in that RPM range. Props then replaced and vibration persists. Dealer states "it feels like every other R5 I've been on" and also that the drive shaft is not bent. Maybe so, but it rides nothing like any of my 3 Sea Rays...2004, 2008, 2012. This is also my first Volvo engine/outdrive. Any thoughts? thanks, mpq

First if it was me I would want to drive a identical set up. If there is a vibration in that one then it's normal. If not fix it.

What engine does your new r5 have in it? Where are you boating? Norris or Cumberland?

Vibration shouldn't be there. I think your dealer is ducking and dodging. If it had prop damage and new props didn't fix it, then you have a bent shaft or a flat spot in the bearings or something out of whack in your lower unit. That VP outdrive, or any outdrive for that matter, should be smoooooth. Pitch a fit until it's fixed

Except I would first place a call to Cobalt about your dealers attitude so they can get your dealers "mind right"..
