Hey guys - looking for some help!

I’m trying to replace the steering wheel on my 200. It’s the original tan/white vinyl wheel. I pulled the center off, removed the nut and washer. But there is a white plastic sprocket- I’m
Not sure how to get this off.

Hey R78. Welcome to the Cobaltchat forum. So glad you found us!

Can’t help you with the plastic but be sure to let that wheel hub soak in PB blaster. She will take quite a bit of pulling.

Any pics of your wheel and Cobalt?

Pictures help. But I would put the nut on flush with the end. While pulling back (towards you) whack the nut and steering shaft with a hammer and it should come off. It will or may be a bit stubborn. The plastic piece could be the horn.

Be careful, you don’t want to set the airbag off!

True Good point but I think the horn will blow first.

Thanks all - the sprocket was the wheel hub. Three twists with a steering wheel puller and it piped right off!

EBay and in comments let them know you want the cobalt center.

I put the same one on my 190 last week. Absolutely love it!

I’m in Pittsburgh - the boat can from Geneva, from Gordy’s.
We don’t have too many cobalts in our area. I boat on the rivers mostly, or deep creek lake. We have a nice lake up north but it is hp limited.
