AW, Rats, Factory closed

Just got a call from my dealer, Cobalt closed the factory till (he said ) May 7th. (Tuesday? Well, I guess that's 2 weeks) My boat is stuck in there somewhere near the end and they think that if they reopen on time it will ship the next week around the 14/15 (a tax day boat!).
Strange thing, this is about back to the original schedule we thought we were on, but then something happened they thought they were ahead of time, but now back to the original date.
Oh well... the waiting game goes on. I'd wish they could at least send me a picture of it.

Hang in there Capt! It has to be frustrating! But maybe it'll just make all so much sweeter!

Yup, I'm prepared for them to miss the April 7 target, as I see everybody's targets moving about. There is another thread here that has a slight comment of August.

August?

I ain't prepared for August.

Aw man, don't do that to me, I'm old!
Sorry about the job, I thought you were in Automotive. Most of mine are still going, just very slow. (I a Hunter Guy, if you are in automotive, you know me/us.)
Bob!

Yep we use plenty of hunter equipment. Yes we are in a supporting role. Right now that's the couch. More and more dealerships are just closing and less hours. We pretty much weren't letting any vendors in either. It's a strange time that is for sure. I am part of one of the largest dealer groups in Wisconsin. So very surprised he shut it down but it makes financial sense. Paying me min wage with benifits means I owe them money. So this is what works.

They updated the Website again. Was the 7th, 13th, 20th, and now the 27th. It's got to be tough trying to get a handle on it all. It's on par with a strange season for all of us! Last week we had tornadoes around here, (well south and east, not near as close as the ones in Nashville last month.
however my old stomping grounds in Chattanooga was hit hard) The weather said something about hail a couple of days ago, we had snow this week. Everytime something strange happens, it comes as no surprise, was all just go " and then there's that"
As long as they keep healthy and building pretty boats (at least mine!

)

When we were there there wasn't anyone working except the interior crew. They are pretty far apart from each other. I don't work there so I have no idea. It's not worth the risk. But I would think after seeing it I would think they would be able to do it with plenty of safety. But like I said it's prob just not worth the risk. Also seeing the neighborhood that the factory is in, believe me I'm sure they all need money. This has to be crushing then also.

It may not sound like it, but I am sympathetic. (I really am....) I cannot/will not fuss about something like this delaying my newest toy. In the scope of things, its not a real problem.
It is a strange time. I see a lot of techs not working and vehicles not moving. Even when it ramps up, it's still gonna be strange times.

Well, we made it through a whole week without changing the opening date on the website, and now the letter about delays is no longer on the front page. Keeping fingers crossed, hopefully an opening on Monday!
