Salt water package

Can someone tell me what is included in the salt water package on my new R5? I cant seem to find any documentation.

Hey R2d2, welcome to the Cobalt Chat forum. So glad you found us!
To answer your question, you most likely get a higher grade of stainless steel when the Enhanced Salt Water package is selected. I believe this was roughly a $1,300 option on the R5.
Are you trying to purchase an R5? ...or did you already? Pics would help. In general, I would stay away from saltwater boats when purchasing used.

Are you sure it's "salt water package" ? I don't know that I've seen that as an option. Could it be the Anti-Corrosion System option that's offered ?
I did see this on an older r5. Enhanced Salt Water package You get a higher grade Stainless $1,302.00

Just bought a brand new 2019 R%. Says it has a Deluxe Salt Water Package. Traded my 220S.

I'm not seeing that option on the Cobalt website even. I see where it says that in some of the boat descriptions though. Like they have said the stainless steel is a diff grade. But there is diff options you can get like bfun days with ocean x drive and anti corrosion system.

Well it is on the sell sheet. I was just trying to find out what it is. Thanks for the responses. I hope to get the boat delivered in a week or so.

The cool thing is you can call the Cobalt hotline and they will tell you what it is. Then you can let us know. Congrats on the new ride!! Where will she be calling her Port?

There's a 2016 R7 listed on the "Cobalt Boats For Sale" page on Facebook that says it has the "salt water package. I had never seen it, and couldn't find it as a current option on the website either. Maybe it's a few things the dealer threw together and called it a package?

No it's a factory option. It's on a bunch of window stickers for salt water boats. I went to some Florida dealers and it's on them.

Right im surprised they don't tell you what it includes. The dealers should know. Where's George or Kate or Rick?

The Cobalt tour ...
As I was suddenly struck by a glaring wall of bright chrome hardware stacked in bins 10 feet tall... I asked “ Why is all this hardware different than the wall of hardware over there?”
We were told that was the new Chromed Stainless hardware designed for Salt water builds (OB), and was resistant against salt water, and salt air pitting that plagues even stainless steel.
I’ll admit it was amazingly shiny, and almost too perfect as I held them next to the stainless. Of course I returned them back to their correct bin locations.

So that’s the $1,300 option y’all are talking about. That makes sense. But do they throw in the Ocean-X drive too, and what about some internal stuff. Inquiring minds want to know!
