Hello, We are having problems with our 19 R7 trim. (Volvo Penta 350) the boat is automatically trimming itself up all the way. It did this then started working fine until we rolled over a large wave and trimmed all the way back up to 100%. Then in manual mode the trim buttons weren’t working. We got the trim back to 0% buy pitting it in auto mode and trimming to 0% then switching back to manual mode. any help would be appreciated, before the boat sits for weeks under warranty work. Thanks in advance

I have no idea. But your dealer will get you in and out fast.
I know I won't get that on my next new boat in 10 years. It sounds like a cool option. But not worth this headache. tgrace98 got lazy now he just hammers down and goes. No more rooster tails 😢😢

My brother hit a log last year and slowly bled hydrologic fluid. He thought he was fine for a couple weeks but suffered a variety of trim problems notably it would trim all the way when he started driving. Just a thought if you have hit anything recently.

Ours has been fine so far, through 15 hours. I'm sure the OP can sort this out. In the mean time, keeping it in manual mode seems to be a reasonable workaround.

This exact thing happened on our R5, and yes it was a bad EVC module. The part came over on the slowest boat EVER from Germany as it was backordered (which means this is a problem many are having in my opinion). Took over 4 weeks to get it repaired end to end. I suggest getting it to the dealer to confirm this is the issue, and get the part ordered. We ended up losing all trim control at one point, which made for a very challenging time trying to get it on the trailer. Lots of straps and cussing was involved.

Do you have a transom trim switch?
