My name is Harry, I go by Cub and my wife Nena and my initials are CNM. That's where the boat name Seain'em comes from. I have been boating for most of my life. My parents and Uncles shared a boat from the time I was about 5 years old. The first that I remember was a green metal flake jet propulsion boat, no clue on the brand. Then we bought a Tri-Sonic tri-hull and I remember that being a rough ride but hey, we were at the lake having fun.
I can recall at about 12 years old my dad telling me that we bought a new boat and all we had to do was go get it. It was half sunk. It was tied to a dock in Arkansas that had been hit by a late snow storm and it pushed the boat house down taking the rear of the boat down with it. The only thing visible was about half of the bow. I couldn't help but think that they had lost their minds after seeing how happy they were to get this boat at such a great price.... duh its UNDERWATER. It was a 1982 Cobalt 19br bought in late fall of 81, less than a year old and for the most part in like new condition...but UNDERWATER. We washed the carpets, dried seats, rebuilt the motor and drove that boat for over 10 years.
Then My father found a repossessed 21 classic BR only 6 months old in 1992 (still afloat). We had that boat for 11 years and probably still would have it had it not been for an accident in 2003 on the highway where I was hit by a RV while inspecting a flat trailer tire (second of the day). I say all this because once we got a Cobalt we never really considered any other brand and even one that was underwater was worth every penny.
I just purchased a 2017 200s and I am officially back in the boating world. I could not be more excited. and I considered other brands but it always came back to how well the Cobalts of my past had held up. Both of those boats were as beautiful when we sold/lost them as they were when we got them... one even more so since it was UNDERWATER.
Here are the is pics of the 2003 on its last day

Great intro. So sorry to see what happened to your baby. That must have been heartbreaking. Was anyone hurt?

Many folks did.
I did not. We don't use them while boating.
Sounds like you've had some nice boats in your past Harry.
Pics have been inserted for ya' my friend. Any of your Uncle's green metal flake boat?

Crazy picture, sure glad you're here to talk about it! I'm confused, you bought it from Gordy's, but you're living in Tennessee?

Yes I live in Memphis and found it on the internet. I happen to have family about an hour and a half from there in Lake Zurich, IL. Drove up picked up the boat, visited with my family including my 95 year old grandmother (who whipped all of our tails in a card game) and drove home in what us in the south would call a blizzard. I cannot say enough good things about the folks at Gordy's. I will be a customer for life.

I'm thinking it's a used boat. It's registered. Is that the one they had in there rental fleet?

Yes it is. Boat is in perfect shape except for a few minor dings mostly in the rub rail.
