Introduction from Gig Harbor WA - 2012 Cobalt 273

Greetings,
After some delay here is my introduction after I joined the forum last summer.
We live with my family in Gig Harbor WA which is just north of Tacoma WA on Puget Sound. We moved back to Washington State after I retired from the Navy. I have always wanted a boat however being in the service made that tough so now I am in a position to really enjoy boating. We started off looking at smaller boats but realized that we needed a boat we could take out on Puget Sound when the seas could get a little rough as well have a little protection from the elements since we also planned on using the boat for trips up to the San Juan Islands, recreational salmon fishing during the later summer/fall and a onboard head/bathroom (wife requirement.) We did not want a cruiser since we like to tow skiers and tubers.
Long story short we went to the Seattle Boat Show last January and really liked the Cobalt brand well above others however they were not making cuddy cabins anymore so we started looking at the used market. After a long search we found a 2012 273 here in Washington that we loved, had approximately 250 hours on it, a new trailer and was in great condition. We able to take it out in the late summer and early fall a few times however this coming spring we will moor it locally (with a lift) for ease of access and enjoyment. After a proper renaming ceremony the Cobalt was rechristened 'Wicked.'
I appreciate all the input I received from the forum when I was making my decision to buy this particular boat and look forward to many other recommendations from the enthusiastic members of the cobalt chat forum.
