First off, looks like the cobalt factory tour was amazing and sad to have missed!
I ran up to our marina the other day to run our boat for a bit as the weather was pretty nice (my apologies to the cold weather members who winterize) When I was wiping down with Hot Sauce, I noticed this line/crack in the gel coat. Anything I should do about this specifically? Never hit anything before so not sure what caused this.

It's hard to see it. I would drill a small spot at the end of the Crack on each end so it doesn't keep spreading. Then order spectrum gel patch and fix it. Don't drill through the boat just the gel
Or pay someone to fix it now if your not comfortable doing it. Some than later.

First I would call call Cobalt and see what they say. Tell them you a CC member and you're looking for some guidance and advice.

Here in my area theres a fiberglass guru that could fix that for a couple hundred and you'd never know it was ever there. Ask around the boats shops and see if you have someone like that near you. Basically he grinds it out, patches the crack, sands and buffs and "poof" it's gone.

BB turned me on to gelcoat repair last summer and it's not that hard, but matching the color could be tricky. So, if it were me, I'd just take it to my guy and be done with it.

The thing is, what caused it in the first place? A bump into a dock maybe? Who knows, but its easily fixed.

Thanks BBP and YT! Ive been looking into the spectrum kit but am worried about the color matching. I know there's a fiberglass/gel coat expert in the area as my stereo supplier/installer recommended one to me this past spring. He uses him for custom work a lot and has seen work he's done on boats so I might give him a call.

I've used spectrum on a half dozen diff color hulls and they match dead on. I would not be afraid at all to use it.
