Hello all. Glad to have found this forum and TIA for any help.
I have searched this forum, google and emailed RNR to no avail. I am looking to replace the canvas on my 01 262 with the factory white aluminum tower. Has anyone had success?

What BB said.
Here locally there are a couple of places I can go to, but they have to have the boat.
Start calling around to canvas shops that install/repair/replace boat covers and biminis. The main shop I use is called Edward's Canvas, and they actually make custom canvas covers for semi-trucks, and branched off into boat covers and biminis. They are the best there is in our area. So dont overlook the big truck guys, because chances are they do boats too.
They'll use your old canvas for a pattern to get the correct size and stitch points. You should have the option to change colors or add a stripe in the middle or down each side as well.
I see that this is your 1st post, so welcome from Oklahoma! It will help if you go into the new member thread, introduce yourself and show us your boat.
Let us know how it turns out, and pics (before and after) or it never happened!

Most good custom canvas shops will be happy to do it if you have your old one in hand, but RNR would still be my first stop if there wasn't a canvas shop I liked near me. Check out:

IDK how your current Bimini is but mine actually snaps into the tower. So I would just remove it and take it to a local shop to have them make you a new one.

Tgrace isn't it stitched around the supports though? I never really looked at mine that close, but I think it is.
Of course it would be easier to just take the supports off with the canvas and carry all that to the canvas shop now that I think about it. My entire arch was disassembled when I got it, so pulling the supports off is no big deal at all.
Something to consider 85SR5.

It is. But the supports come out. It’s not hard like you said

Yeah, that's would be the way to go. Then just match the new snaps to the ones on the arch and arms.
Easy Peasy

Sorry, we only have canvas for the 2001-2002 Cobalt 262 with
NO Tower:
http://rnr-marine.com/auto/Cobalt_262_( ... l#products
Cobalt made most of their canvas in-house and only goes back about 7 years for replacement canvas, so you have good advice from your fellow boaters there to find a good, local canvas shop to pattern new canvas.
Any questions, just email us

That would be fine, but we have to be careful, since some boards don't want us to advertise.
We don't want to wear out our welcome.

Welcome and good to hear from you as well. The admin jhnmdahl ultimately makes that call. We have a dealer in here also. I think it's good to have resources to go to. Thanks for coming in though.
