New scaffold system

This may be of interest to some so I thought I would post. Since my barn has 16’ ceilings, I needed some way to work up high to install new lighting. I also needed a better way to wax my motorhome and other projects. Since I am no spring chicken (70), I have gotten leary of ladders. So I bought this scaffolding at Home Depot. The upper platform goes to a height of 12’. The neatest feature of this model (safe climb feature) is each platform has a trap door so you climb up the interior route instead of the exterior (like a straight up ladder). It seems much safer. The only complaint I read was it was somewhat rickety up high but I think it’s fine if you are expecting this. The nice thing is you have a platform to stand on that is 6’ x 2.5’ so plenty of room for tools, etc. Just thought this was an interesting product, hope some may benefit

Nice set up.. !! Yep my fear of heights starts as soon as it moves .. But that looks sturdy!

I use the aluminum plank from metal tech also from Home Depot across the pontoons on the hoist to clean and check the drives.

I like that. I'm not allowed on a ladder anymore unless someone is here. Too many trips to the ER.

Nola, it’s easy to slip anytime for anyone but it seems I’ve read so much about people getting killed falling off ladders. Also, the going rate for waxing motorhomes appears to be in the $250 range & getting an electrician to add lights to my barn was expensive so in my mind I’m saving money. Lol
