New guy from AR

I have been lurking and shopping for a little while . Finally found a cobalt that fit the budget and met our needs. Happened to show up at my local marina and came with a slip, lift, and trailer. She is a 99 220 with just over 200 hours. Has the 7.4 in it and will run 58 in light chop according to the speedo. Was maintained by my boat mechanic since it was brand new. The family was so excited to get it out that they bundled up and we went out when it was about 45 degrees. I was amazed at how clean the engine was and it had some dust on it from sitting all winter so it wasn't like they just cleaned it up for sale. After having it out a few times now I haven't found any surprises yet. I would like to get a better stereo with bluetooth, and possibly a small chart plotter, and maybe down the road replace some of the gauges to update it a bit. The third pic is the boat we replaced. It was a 79 mastercraft inboard that we had a lot of fun on.

Great pics protip!!

220 looks great in the water. 58 mph is rockin’ on the water. Those are fast hulls.
Some real classy boats there my friend.

So glad you found us. Welcome aboard mate!

Welcome from California..

220 with a 454efi.. that's a great one! Also that Master craft is a classic but you will like the dead rise you have now with the 220

Sorry but what lake are you on? Add your GPS app to your phone it might put a smile on your face if you gain a few miles per hour :-)
Or it might not.lol

I have been reading the threads on here about all the LED stuff. Need to figure out what to do there as we do a lot of night time boating. Are there some certain LED cup holders I need to be aware of lol?

We boat on Beaver Lake in AR. I was originally after a boat that would be big enough for LOTO a few times a season, but the budget dictated otherwise since I wasn't willing to compromise and get something other than a Cobalt. The GPS app is a great idea. I would sure love it if it showed 60.

No doubt, and that is the exact reason for the change. The MC was a great cove boat, but not much for going out across the lake.

Just take a look at each of them. Amazon or eBay. Most come from China anyways. I like mine.
