Haha Thunder..
The “American” dog..
What a pampered life.

Since we have some property, my dogs don’t know what being tied up is..
I remember at my old house, we had an above ground pool with a small deck

..So my wife and I would watch our golden walk up the stairs, stick his nose under the door latch, and let himself in. He would take a dip, climb up the ladder and then lay out and sun himself on the deck. He would do this swim and lay out thing for most of the summer days. Meanwhile I had to go back to work.. who’s the boss?🤣

If he could talk, he would probably say, “hey, how about getting me a couple milk bones while your in the kitchen”.😂
He was so sweet..

We had some bad news this past week. Our favorite pet of all time, our 14 year old female Yorkshire Terrior Gracie, that we’ve had the blessing to own has been diagnosed with cancer. I literally fell apart walking out of the vets office. I never saw that emotion coming, and it was a horrible day.

She has had this growth right next to her nose that we have removed twice over the last two years. The third time, it came back with a vengeance in a month. It’s spread to her one lymph node, but tests show no further spreading. After a full day of tests at a pet hospital in Orchard Park, the staff oncologist gave her 2 months untreated, but up to a possible year and a half with steroid and pill form chemotherapy.

At first, we were against putting her through any pain, but the Dr. said that small dogs deal very well with the chemo. So we thought it was worth a shot as long as her life quality isn’t affected.
I hope it goes well because I don’t want her miserable, or selfishly make her suffer just so we can prolong the inevitable. So far, she’s still her active loving self, and she’s still eating well. We haven’t noticed any difference in her at all.

This is a dog that fearlessly hops up on my straight piped Harley for a ride, and has to sit next to me while mowing the lawn, and it the most loving hugging dog we’ve ever had. She loves equipment and truck rides, and she’s a better retriever than my Golden ever was.

So hopefully, she’ll be around for awhile longer.
Ah T, I'm sorry to hear this brutha. Nothin' like the loyalty of our dogs.

We lost our 13 year old Golden, Newman, last year. It was tough on us.

Here's to a few more years with Gracie in your family and on your Cobalt.

Thanks A7.
Our dogs are special to all of us. This one is so unique for a little gal. Just so happy and sweet.
She’s doing very well on her meds, which makes us very happy. The last thing we want to do is make her live out her days in discomfort so we can hold on to her longer.. We really see no difference in her habits. Still happy, eating like a champ, fighting with her brother, and doing her thing outside ..
So hopefully we can extend her life a year or two more.

She's definitely taking advantage of her extra attention status by disregarding any supposed rules...A couple weeks ago, we walk in the door and she was sleeping on the kitchen table. All we can do is laugh..and wonder what goes on when we're not home.
