Wow. I hope you are OK Liquid. Hantavirus is very dangerous and probably very scary for you and your family.
It must just be the time of the year where what could go wrong...will go wrong.

Not the actual "Hantavirus", We all just got a really nasty stomach flu!

Didn't mean to insinuate the CDC was taping off our house.

although I felt like they should've been.

I donโt think there is a beach on Lake Travis. Not one I would trust not to have some large limestone boulders.
I too have had a cold for the last 4 days, but punching thru the other today.

Sigh... It was a dark and stormy dusk... the wind whipped and whirled... I stared at the launch and said f it... and then mashed my prop into oblivion.
I've told the full story a few times on here. Above is the long and short of it. Skeg broke a bit and it'd been driving me nuts. Sent her in for a new skeg and paint job so me ocd can find something else to harp on!

Sucks to break boat parts. Been there, done that

.
Easy fix though, especially when someone else is doing it. Sheโll be brand new in the spring

Having worked offshore for a large part of my career in the Oil and Gas Industry including the North Sea, I have a healthy respect for what damage the power of water can do. A 6000 lb boat doesn't stand a chance.
On top of that I am naturally conservative. Too much so Mrs. Driller says.

That's why I like you brother. A conservative that lives in Austin. And the only sane one here!

You have no idea how true a statement you have expounded. In both the conservative and the sane categories.
Luckily, by Austin measure, I have been happily married to a liberal for 35+ years or they would even let me live here. Especially working in the "Dirty Oil" business.

Well, another great thread read. Thanks for the great posts, T550. Beautiful boating and an even more beautiful family!
.
Tuscany....glad you are feeling so much better. Sounds like a rough one you went thru my friend.
.
I would not beach my boat on those pebbles....even with a keel guard, t550!
....and sorry to hear about your grounding woes. At least you are a master fixer. And thanks for no pics with the suit off.
.
Nice poetry bfun220!...and nice New Year's beer-
Light Speed!
.
Ytmsn & Driller....Conservatives unite!
.
bbp....well what can I say. Another classic quote.....

:
"Those pebbles no I'm not beaching there. We're there are small ones the big ones are not far away. If I have a dock close no way would I beach though. Or just anchor or a bit and walk in. Plus I wouldn't leave it beached all day on night."
POT THE JUS!
