I will go ahead and share what I do as well. I am a Consulting Systems Engineer for an IT consulting firm. What I mainly do is Design, implement, and support enterprise sized voip phone systems and video conferencing. I do a little sales to but that is mainly just the technical expert along with a sales person. Been in the industry now for about 15ish years.

Sure. I work for a smaller shop right now called ISG technology. We are based in KC but have a satellite office here in STL in the Westport area. But we just have Sales and Engineers here so its a rather small office.

I ask because I'm a partner in a CPA firm downtown called Anders and we have a technology arm called....wait for it...Anders Technology. Was curious if you guys were competitors of ours. I still dont know that :) IT isn't my area of expertise, but I've heard a few IT firms name dropped on occasion. Anyway, dont hold it against me if we are! Sounds like you are part of the growing future there so congrats to you!

oh can't say I have heard of Anders before. There are a ton of small technology firms out there so it is not a surprise I haven't.

I'm not new, but I never dropped in on this thread. I am a Millwright with Ford Motor in Louisville. Basically I maintain the conveyors and equipment around the plant, do some fabrication, a little construction, and general industrial mechanic type work. I get dirty for a living. In an auto plant with downtime costing around $250/sec, things can get hairy in a hurry. I served my apprenticeship with Ford starting at 24 and I don't know that I could have created a job for myself I would rather have. My schedule requires my attendance on the job 7 of 14 days, so with a schoolteacher wife, we get lots of lake time.
It's great to see the occupational cross section of members here. Lots of variety and experiences.

I'll share here. I'm the general sales manager at a Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram dealership in Louisville Ky. I am a professional full time negitatior. All day long I structure car deals, get deals financed, and work with customers doing what most people hate: buying cars. Been in the car business about 10 years. Before that was in corporate accounting and finance.
