BBP, Looks great! Are your Wetsounds amps mounted on the bottom-half board? Is that 1/4 inch starboard? Thanks for the up close picture of the wiring going thru the board! Did you mount any RGB controllers? I had a hard time trying to decide between JL and Wetsounds. I put lists together and the cost is pretty much the same. JL is 10 percent off right now, and Wetsounds is 15 percent off in April. I have listened to JL's but not the Wetsounds. JL's sounded great to me. I finally ordered all JL stuff from Creative Audio, after researching both for a few months. You can call them and get a better deal also. My thought was, if your going to spend over $5000, don't you want the loudest system at the party cove? (wetsounds), but I ended up going with JL anyway. I had to pick one, Memorial Weekend is coming soon. If these 8.8 JL tower speakers are not loud enough, I will replace them with Wetsounds next year. I am just starting this install this weekend, installing everything myself, so please prepare for alot of questions! Installing a 10 inch Sub and new Head Unit too.

No it's 1/2 starboard its the full length of the wood backing board. I have the wood spaced out so the sub would fit nicely without cutting holes in anything. Jeff used a 1/2 inch spacer on the outside so it would fit. The starboard is spaced out for the wiring to fit nicely. To me it's not about how loud you can make it. It's how good you can get it to sound and a good volume too. You can get loud but it's not all in the speaker. The speaker can only handle so much.

What do you mean the starboard is spaced out? Is it mounted flat against the carpeted board? And you cut holes in the starboard and the carpeted board for the wires to run through? I am assuming you spaced out the carpeted board further so the Sub would fit. I am going to probably order a spacer or an LED Ring to get the Sub to fit. I think Jeff ordered a 3/4" thick spacer. You know, BBP, I really wanted to order all Wetsounds, but I had to make a decision. I do think the Wetsounds look a lot better.

Mr Nauti and I went after this on black Friday. And around that time. We got some really great deals. Yes we got them from creative also.
Yes I spaced the starboard to the carpeted backing board. Mostly for the wiring. Yes smaller holes in the carpeted backing board. I didn't want to space out the sub from the frt. I was trying to get the leds differently. The spacer ring I got I didn't like it. So I sent that back and did it differently. At first I wasn't going to add leds to my sub I still have to fix some led wiring but didn't feel like taking it all apart to do it. So it will be the way it is.
I have a cheap Bluetooth led controller that works just fine . If it fails I'll just buy another one. It's been there for 2 years I think maybe 3. Not bad for cheap ones.
It doesn't hurt my feeling what others buy. All good by me. I just happened to buy my speakers first. I got a smoking deal on them. I want planning on adding anything else. But Mr Nauti was to blame for all of this crazy money spending spree.

Mr Nauti, Do you have any pictures of your Amps or speakers installed? Our boats are very similar. Did you mount your amps on the lower half of the board in your boat, or the upper half board? TIA!
