Okay, got the wife to entertain the idea. The burnt ends makes us a definite maybe. Need to know a few more details before booking flights, hotels, taking time off work, arrange child care, and etc..........

I'm in and will meet you all Thursday evening wherever the group decides. Coming from Columbus likely with my brother Paul. Let me know if I can help with the planning.

I think getting back to KC Friday afternoon/evening would not be out of the question. Some folks are staying over and some will book flights out, so yeah, I'm sure you could be back by then.

It would be great if someone volunteered to rentt a 15 passenger for the trip down and back, and yall just split it up. Then folks arriving at the airport could Uber to the hotel, then everyone ride together to the restaurant and back, and to the factory and back. I'd do it, but I'll have my own vehicle and head on south Friday afternoon after the tour. Just a thought..

Just a heads up the Kansas City airport is basically in the middle of nowhere. City planners built the airport on the North side of town in what was at the time a giant corn field. Thinking was the city would grow that way.....it didnt.

Not saying you couldnt uber to the hotel but its a 35 mile trip.

Any updates on the factory tour? Do they have the lemonade pre-mixed to Matt's liking and the red carpet rolled out for us?

So I have spent the past week trying to figure out how I could make this. I cleared it with the wife to make the trip alone along with the promise I brought her back some Cobalt swag. I cleared a appointment I had that Thursday evening and was just about to call the doubletree and make my reservation.

I talked to my boss yesterday to tell him I was taking half a day Thursday and all day Friday just to get reminded that our big end of year Corporate update is that Friday and I am a presenter. So needless to say I have to sit this one out. I really tried everything I could to make it. But have fun all. Hopefully a big meet up like this can happen again in the future.

A pimp exam? Jeesh akro, BigBlock would probably be glad to give you an exam?

Tgrace I know you've been trying and wouldn't miss this otherwise. Sometimes it just doesn't work out!

I am going out at some point, not sure when yet.

My dealer is going to try and schedule a tour for me when my new R7 is getting to the end of production. Hopefully see them buttoning my boat up.

Would love to get any information on hotels/best hotels that any of you guys may have stayed at.

This is going to be great. I'm happy to help with logistics but I want to be sure I understand the plan...

Thursday 12/13
Arrive Kansas City, KS
7:00 pm Dinner - Q39 Overland Park
Check-in Double Tree Overland Park

Friday 12/14
Depart for Neodesha (early am)
Cobalt Tour
Return to Overland Park (Double Tree)

If its good for you all, I'm looking into transportation services to and from Cobalt for Friday.

Also, is anyone staying Saturday? What do you think about a brewery, winery, and distillery tour on Saturday? This looks fun:
($800 for a bus of 14 - $60 per head includes beer/wine/spirits)
Tour would depart at noon or 1:00 Saturday 12/15

I created a google map for locations:

YT, what does our headcount look like?

Chris

Also, I received a quote for a bus service to Cobalt and back to KC. If we get a 27 person mini-coach it would be about $80 per passenger for the round trip (assuming 25 people 14 hrs of service). It's $136.50 per hour. If we only need 15 passenger, they have smaller options or we could rent and drive something ourselves.

Yeah, otherwise the union makes me remove the feather from my velvet hat. If BB is qualified maybe I can run it through expense as a business trip. 8-)

Nice work on the recon Chris. ( Great Map)! We will have to see how the head count grows, and the exit plan looks for the crew.

At least our destinations and lodgings are set... minus the Friday night Resturant that BBP gets us tossed out of😎
