I do data analytics and reporting for the supply chain department in a large mining company. From AZ originally, got hired in with this company at a mine in Colorado in 2012 and spent 2 years in the Rockies. The mine was an underground mine, got to spend my first week doing safety training 3000 feet underground. That was a cool experience.

My son is now 25, but when he was 12 he started riding dirtbikes with me. I used to race enduro and cross country in the A Class or Expert. My buddies used to tell me "one of these days he's going ro outrun you" and I always said "yes, but not today". When he was about 16 or 17 we lined up at my place for a 5 mile loop through the woods. We had been smack talking each other all day and eating it up. We still love to smack talk back and forth about how fast we are and how the other rides like a squid.

Well, we lined up that day, and he had that twinkle in his eye. What I didn't know was he had been training pretty hard ( in secret) just to beat me. When we took off I had a wheel on him going into the woods and had the best line but he wasn't going to back off. I didn't want him to crash (because he's my kid, right?) so I chopped the throttle and let him by. He dropped down into my line and dang near took my front end out, and took off, never looking back.

I've been chasing him ever since..
