I cheated on the Cobalt this past weekend and went out with some friends on a 2000 Malibu...I learned I like all the freeboard.... I don't like the top of the boat hitting my knees.... But it is fun feeling like you are riding right on the water.

Last weekend was the first time we didn't have to swim out to the dock! Water is finally down far enough now that the Dock Road is exposed. This was on Friday and by Sunday the water was down another foot.

It weighs in at only 43 pounds. Per pound it’s twice as expensive as my R5 Surf!

My daughter said the same thing when I picked her up from high school with it strapped to the car. I love trying to embarrass my kids, lol!
Funny thing is, I never did fit in living in Cali. Yesterday I bought $70 of habanero beef sticks from a local meat market and today I bought 20 boxes of waterfowl loads and ordered a new Benelli SBE shotgun. My California neighbors would not approve of the beef sticks or the hunting!!

I have a Benelli also. We just take it out in the desert and shoot clay's until our thumbs hurt too much. We don't discuss guns here to people we don't know...

Got the new canoe out for a test run on a small lake a couple miles from our Minneapolis home. Damn, why couldn't the weather have been like this last weekend!!
