Welcome and congrats. You have a beautiful new boat that you should be proud of. You are now part of a pretty exclusive group that gets say my boat is a Cobalt. One of my favorite things is when someone asks me what kind of boat do you have I say "oh, just a little bowrider", which immediately causes them to think---pond junk. I know what I've got and how lucky I am, but they almost always inquire "what brand", especially if they think they've got the cat's meow. Then I drop the "Cobalt" line on them and their face sinks. I don't rub it in, but it's nice to have in reserve for "those guys".
Regarding the forums, here's some free tips. BBP was born with HDS....horsepower deficiency syndrome, so remember, until you have quad 6.2's in a 14ft jon boat, it's never enough and then it's questionable. This is a great group that really likes to help each other out, regardless of it's boating related or not.

I agree. The stereo really did surprise me. I think I am still going to add a 10 or 12 with two tower speakers also. Just needed a little more kick for me. If you don't mind me asking, why brand are the interior lights that you have. After seeing yours, it is a must that I install those also.
Cobalt installed those at the factory. I would add those, the transom lights, and the blue light underneath. Looks so awesome!
Do you know what brand they are? I have been lookin online and can’t find what they use stock.

Welcome from California! Very nice looking boat. I just purchased a CS23, I couldn’t be happier! Sounds like the 240 is working well for you. I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, there’s no replacement for displacement? But like with cars, if you can't get traction, then it really doesn’t matter how much power you have. The props are the equivalent of tires on a car, with Duoprop, the traction is so much better than it is with a single prop drive, I believe this is why most Cobalts come with this setup. I think I’d rather have a 240 with Duoprop vs a 300 or 350 with a SX drive. I just traded a 21’ crownline with a 5.0 and a single prop, I couldn’t believe the difference in hole shot when I first drove the CS23, night and day difference.
