How do you really feel?

Boat is at the fiberglass shop probably til end of this coming week getting that big gelcoat crack repaired. Probably won't be on the water again til Havasu on the 28th. Unless I get bored on a weekend and decide to go out for another testing session. That actually sounds like a good idea. Retesting leak seal since last time started out with a missing drain plug, and testing new prop. Hmm. I like the way you think. :D

It's rough I tell ya! Going to a bonfire at the marina next weekend, wasn't planning on taking the boat but might have to anyway and go do a couple laps around the lake before they light the fire. We are about 10 degrees above normal for this time of year, hoping it holds for the Havasu trip. Mid 70s sounds nice :)

We went to the Fantasy of Lights boat parade on Tempe town lake tonight. It was cool to watch, decided we are going to participate next year. Only time in the year they allow motorized boats on the lake. Also get a good front row seat for the fireworks show afterwards.

Propeller porn time...they are so pretty when they are new!

Maybe I'll just put the old mirage in the box. Nobody but me would know the difference anyway

Or put some rocks in the box and say the rock god took your prop already so you won't have to worry about it all year.
I like the mirage idea. :-)

Got her back from gelcoat repair today, they did a great job. They mixed their own color instead of ordering a gallon from Cobalt at $300. The gelcoat guy said it was really close but not exact, he thought it had a bit too much green. I can't really tell the difference. For the area of the boat it's on, no big deal at all.

Also got to check the dry fit templates that SC Wake sent me. They are from a 1999 252, but seems like other than the location of the ladder they are the same as my 1995. I'll have the ladder holes deleted since I don't have a ladder up there anymore.

You guys were spot on about the gray being kinda dull and lifeless too. Seeing the samples on the boat, I don't think the gray looks good with the other colors. Going with teak for sure. Man that sun pad vinyl looks bad...gotta get that redone sometime soon.

Also got the new grease caps installed, glad I opened the hubs up again. The grease on the two brake hubs had a lot of water in it already, only been dunked 2 or 3 times since I did seals and repacked bearings. Non-brake hubs were fine. Hopefully these ones will keep the water out a little better. These ones stick out a little further than the old ones, so I had to remove the end covers from the wheel center caps, but it'll be really easy to keep an eye on things this way.

Well I was able to convince the fam to go out today :) we are headed out to Pleasant this afternoon, hang out on the boat for a couple hours, then at sundown the marina/RV park is doing a big bonfire so we'll stick around for that too.
