Looks great!!. You will enjoy the windlass anchor!.. and yes we need some Pics and or demo of the Arch shade combo!!
That's funny! It took me a minute to figure out what you were talking about!liquid wrote: Tue Nov 21, 2017 8:51 am Beautiful boat. Your winch looks like a mailbox with the flag up in that last pic.
Not sure on the name just yet, we have some ideas just need to finalize!NautiGirl wrote: Tue Nov 21, 2017 10:36 am That is a B-E-A-UTIFUL boat! Jeff can now stop worrying about our F150 squatting just a tiny little bit...lol
Can't wait to see pics of her on the water! What will you name her?
It doesn't work like I had hoped. Basically you loosen 2 screws up top which allows the frame to rotate when you fold the arch. Sea Ray's setup is much better as everything rotates locked together so you can lower it and drive at the same time. You can't do that with the cobalt as the top frame would flop around.Tuscany wrote: Tue Nov 21, 2017 10:47 am Sooner, how does the rotation on the Bimini work?
Definite coverage improvement!
Understand family time is so important! As my kids begin to move on in life I realize that more and more each day. Especially when they are to busy hanging with their friends to come home. At least they were to busy before we got the new boat!Ytmsn wrote: Tue Nov 21, 2017 12:36 pm That's awesome Sooner! I had intentions of trying to get by there yesterday but my son and his family are in town and it just didn't work out. I look forward to seeing many more pictures!
Great idea for pics! I will include that in the next round!cmattj wrote: Tue Nov 21, 2017 12:17 pm Looks great!!. You will enjoy the windlass anchor!.. and yes we need some Pics and or demo of the Arch shade combo!!

I'm a Ford lady myself...so I guess you could say I prefer and man's truck!??!?!
Drive your lady GM truck back to the kitchen and make me a sandwich. I'll come pick it up in my Ford.
Wait...now I remind you of your son? Are you saying I look like a man....how offensive...I'm kidding!!!! Well, kidding about everything except you getting in the kitchen and making me a damn sandwich, but I digress...Tuscany wrote: Tue Nov 21, 2017 1:38 pmNautiGirl wrote: Tue Nov 21, 2017 11:12 am A ladies truck...hmmm interesting...Is your truck pink?![]()

I have to get used to the fact that we are now taught to take everything said on this planet as offensive to someone, and I will try harder next time. Sexist I am not. You really need to meet the tough one around here, and that’s mrs. T.
But in truthfulness, no sexism involved here. My daughter drives a Buick Encore. Very cute car. You wouldn’t see me driving a Buick Encore either.
Should I have to explain or clarify why?
Some vehicles scream men, and some scream ladies. Some are designed to attract women, and some are designed to attract men. ...and don’t you think vehicle designers have that in mind when they start the design process? Are they sexist?
So to clarify and hopefully remove anything offensive, I enjoy the soft and smooth lines of a GM truck, but I prefer the harder lines of the Ford..![]()
I would like to say categorically state that I am not offended by anything anyone says on this site about me, my gender, my wife's gender, or the Great State of Texas.
I'm somehow offended Sooner. First because you have the audacity to not know there may be 64, and second, you are posting without more pics. You may be hearing from my lawyer.Soonerfan wrote: Tue Nov 21, 2017 3:33 pm You people are crazy! Aren't there like 63 genders now? Maybe we need a new thread on how each of you identify yourself!![]()
Tusc, thanks and I will most certainly look at that option. I will say that I think the pics are slightly deceiving with regards to the amount of front end lift. My truck was lifted/leveled with aftermarket front coil springs and shocks and a block in the rear. By my measurements the front end was raised almost 2.5 inches while the rear was only raised 1.25 inches so it looks really bad when loaded. Airbags would help with the looks and obviously the headlights aim.Tuscany wrote: Tue Nov 21, 2017 4:03 pm Sooner, I’m looking at your pics. Just a thought here. Obviously, more tongue weight is always better, but I think you could move your boat back at least a foot on your trailer. Looks like you have some bunk hanging over, and rail room to move the ladder, winch and bow stop back with the boat. That would shift weight onto the trailer and relieve a couple hundred pounds of weight on your truck.
Can you repost the side of your boat pic? We can compare where yours sits in comparison to mine. If you look at the side drain by the center of the tandems, it appears mine does sit back a foot further. I am not sure what build trailer you have, it may be specific, but my trailer is an R7 specified build.Soonerfan wrote: Tue Nov 21, 2017 4:22 pmTusc, thanks and I will most certainly look at that option. As stated earlier I have a Curt WDH that I planned on using to help with sway, reduce tongue weight, and keep it more level. In my initial observations I am afraid that the tongue on my trailer is too long for the hitch I have. I haven't actually measured it yet and plan to do so this evening. I have only driven 16 miles so far and a top speed of 60 in some really high winds yesterday and she performed a lot better than I expected. I really expected my front end to feel really light and it felt really stable. I really was counting on the WDH for the overall safety as even though I have not scaled it I know the tongue weight is well above the recommended amount. I have some time as I won't be taking it to our lake for a few months so my pulling will be very limited short distances and slower speeds.
